HELP: Stihl chain adjustment screw access is blocked

Yes, that is exactly what I see but I couldn't turn it. Only way I could see to do that is hammer a screwdriver trying to push it into turning slightly. It's super snug.

HELP: Stihl chain adjustment screw access is blocked

I'm so thick I can't follow some of what one of the gentlemen suggest but your suggestion, I can follow that, lol. I just might do that, seems like an easy solution! I do have a dremel, maybe I have a disc or head that will cut metal. There isn't much that's in the way. It seems weird that this...

HELP: Stihl chain adjustment screw access is blocked

This is an ms200 (rear handle) and I can't freely turn the chain tension adjustment screw because there is a steel plate thingamajig turned into the hole where you insert the screwdriver. I don't recall having the problem in the past but I have not run it for maybe a year other than cranking it...

    572 or 462

I was going to vote for 462 and that's what you bought, so, there! If it's 1.5 lbs lighter, that was my reasoning. Especially at my age, that matters. Hope it works well for ya, I got one, it's strong.

the little saw in the corner....

Yes, it was quite a story and I, too, hope he's ok. Vroom, vroom. Hold whatchya got.

Use lithium batteries at 20% to 80% capacity

FWIW, if any, I came across this... have no idea if it's valid but it is apropos this discussion and directly answers (his opinion) a question I posted in this thread about why doesn't the manufacturer design the battery to not go below 20% and not above 80%... = Why do people say it’s bad to...

Chainsaw to the rescue for bush trimming

I have an ms362 that has a 20" carbide bar/chain on it. That actually needs sharpening. Wonder if that would be a good choice. These bushes do not have thorns, thankfully. But, possibly some wasp nests!

Chainsaw to the rescue for bush trimming

Not a joke, I'm serious! Would a chainsaw be a decent tool for cutting Azalea flowering bushes? I have some in front of my main, wide front window at my house and over the decades, they have crept up with my hedge trimming such that they are just too tall, they are as tall as me. Which means...

Use lithium batteries at 20% to 80% capacity

Wow, you have even added MORE that I have never read! Sheesh, I will need to memorize a list to use this stuff because I have def been doing some bad things. Lastly, what is "BL equipment?" I do like battery equipment but also have plenty of ICE stuff.

Use lithium batteries at 20% to 80% capacity

Yep, I do now have the QC80. When my saw battery went dead yesterday, I needed only 2 seconds more to finish for the day and I did run it for 2 seconds more to finish that cut and I was done. So, that was a bad thing? Is that what you're talking about? So, do you think there is something to...

Use lithium batteries at 20% to 80% capacity

Say what? I now read that it's best to not fully discharge a lithium-ion battery and to not fully charge it. Now how practical is that! The batteries for my Husqvarna chainsaw are stupid expensive and I bought an older, slower model charger because I read where it will actually prolong the...

    STIHL Progressive Depth Gauge Tools

I read a lot of posts at the beginning of this old thread, and also at the end of the thread... I know that the thread is about Stihl offering depth gauge tools in Europe and maybe some here figure out how to get some to the USA? Without having to read every post in this 10-pg thread, what's the...

Echo 7310 vs Husky 572 vs Stihl 462

What does this mean, sir? More oil in the mix than even 32:1 or a richer carb setting or something else? TIA

Hello, thanks for your post about putting the 542i clutch cover on the 540i in the thread I started about chip clearance. So, all I need is the clutch cover and other parts are a swap? Did they charge you and if so, how much? Ah, but you got the whole assembly. Yep, Husky should cover the cost...

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

I am going to cut with it asap, maybe today, and try to pin down what is going on, but since I first complained about this when I bought it when this saw was introduced, I have read several instances of a "known chip clearance" issue. And a poorly designed clutch cover has been mentioned. Like...

    Husqvarna battery saw fix

I have a Husky 540iXP and now they are coming out with 542iXP. The 540 I have, I have complained about, in healthy oak, it "bogging down," too often, "getting in a bind." Like the bar/chain is getting bound in the cut somehow and it stops the saw and I have to go again but I have read all I can...

    Battery saw solution

Does the 350i cut better without bogging or getting in a bind like the 540i or are they the same? Are the 540i batteries usable in the 350i? EDIT: As for the battery question, I read online where a guy said the BLI300 batteries for the 540i saw do fit the 350i saw.

    Battery saw solution

I own plenty of those. Battery saw would be kept in truck. Plus, taking on trails, all you need is bar oil. And also using at home and not polluting the neighborhood with a screamer, lol.
