I know I've seen something like this a lot of years ago but can't remember what it was for. Hoping one of you gents can help me i.d. it. Seems like I remember it being something to do with valve guides or valve seats but I can't exactly remember.

This is a vintage J.A. Sexauer Manufacturing Co. metal tin from the 1920s or 1930s.
The tin is branded "Perfect Seal" and was used to hold plumbing supplies, such as "Handy Andy" ball cock washers and other repair parts.

Well we've now identified the tin as having nothing to do with the actual tool...now if only we can identify the actual tool...
