Got that right...OEM on that cherry!just go get yourself an aftermarket 395 clutch. id be pretty tempted on a saw that nice to just get a new oem clutch cover. just my opinion.
thats pretty spicy, but good piece of mind on a nice saw for sure. That's a very nice saw! I just bought 2 clutch covers Pantano, they were $86 each.
At first I ordered two aftermarket ones from two different sellers and they both ended up being 61 covers so I ordered oem ones.thats pretty spicy, but good piece of mind on a nice saw for sure.
Good to know...The 395 clutch is stronger and has more surface area on it than the old style 288 clutch with the one big spring. A upgrade. It also fits a 2100 series saw which uses the same style clutch as a 288.
I like this option as far as more surface area on the band/drum contact...my 288XP Lite is ported and if I ever need to replace what's there now, I'll go the 395 route. Appreciate the info.Probably doesn’t matter on a stock 288 what clutch, but a modded one it could be a good upgrade.
No problem, glad I could help sir!I like this option as far as more surface area on the band/drum contact...my 288XP Lite is ported and if I ever need to replace what's there now, I'll go the 395 route. Appreciate the info.
