Why aren't there more a/m 51.4mm pistons?

Title says it all. I know dominant makes one, but why no Meteor, Duke's, etc? If someone just needs to borrow a n.o.s. one to copy, let me know. If not, why?

I'd say it's a demand issue. Old, obsolete, better to replace with a new model...etc.

Well crap.
Definitive Dave did still have some wiseco's last I looked. They're spendy but real nice.

I think because they were mostly used in cut off saws the demand just isn't there. Most of those ingest some real abrasive crap which kills the cylinder along with the piston. I do love me some XPW ...

Yup, went down that road myself with what I thought was a decent 375k cylinder and piston. Cylinder lasted about a year before I found out the plating below the intake was mostly gone. Replaced it with an OE 50mm kit and I gotta say I’m very happy with it.

All that said, I may have recently acquired an OEM 51.4 cylinder kit lol
