I wouldn't lose no sleep over the weight difference. Then next you will have to figure if the extra weight of the chain and all the extra oil it holds puts it back to .02 pounds heavier again. Personally i think .050 oils the bar better and in the long run will perform its best and last longer. .043 isn't much behind in those abilities and has less resistance in the cut when everything is sharp and even will cut a bit faster. All clean wood up in a tree top , advantage .043. Harsher cutting on the ground .050 will probably do a better days work in my opinion.
It’s all about how much wood each cutter is cutting and the resistance and the available power.
A narrower kerf is less wood, thus is a bit quicker. Or you could run a slight longer bar with the saw.
