Hey guys,
i literally cant determine if this are aluminum transfers or nikasil is gone and aluminum bellow can be seen.
When going over it with my finger, i just cant feel any height differences, just a change of texture.

How to determine what is it exactly? Im afraid i im thinking that those are transfers and i try to remove it with acid or mastermind's way, im afraid that ill just make it worse, remove aluminum and make a hole there.
Piston has zero almost none scratch marks, just flat texture.

It looks like wear from running a dirty air filter (or no air filter).
Which makes sense, because air filter was kind of fishy, and had 2 holes in it, but how much of a problem is it? its not deep, cant really be felt by hand

I mean, i know it is bellow intake port, and rigs dont go near that far down, and i will run that cylinder definitely, just want to hear advice from older chaps :D

I personally wouldn’t use it but I’ve taken apart several concrete saws that looked just like that and seemed to run fine.

Looks to have been 'cleaned up' so there's also a good chance someone was a little too aggressive with the sandpaper/honing and went through the plating that way. Or some combination of the two...

Exactly. I do have a concrete saw engine look exactly like this. Blows 130ish psi but still run. Its a 3120K.
It ingested too much dust and worn the plating

And I do believe the piston has no factory cross mark and look very polished.

That’s worn through plating. The grooves above the port worries me more.

That jug is pretty much done, but if everything above the roof looks good and that’s just an illusion, you can run it. It’s the thrust surface of a saw, but no rings cross that area.
