no cheating and looking it up, or asking backhoelover :)
1. It is not a screwdriver
2. It is only used during assembly, not during disassembly
3. It is INDIRECTLY necessary due to EPA regulations
4. the tip has a rounded end and rounded corners
5. it is fantastic for starting to peel the rind off of a clementine

BZZZZZZT - Thanos mocks your puny answer and awards you these for your incompetence

If tiny bobblehead Thanos was just a little less of an intergalactic comic tyrant he would have at least said "good guess", alas he is indeed a menace to us all.

The new ethanol resistant wire coating being used to keep our spilled fuel from melting the coating on the wiring and causing a short is a little softer in order to remain pliable enough to be used in the same grooves and clips so this is indeed a punch down tool for seating the wire in the plastic retainers in the carb box without damaging them.

I picked up about 8-10 new tools from Stihl recently, just have to get them listed. A buddy stopped over to get some OEM MS200T fuel lines and gasket sets this morning and thought maybe it was for chain tensioners so guys wouldn't over torque the crap pout of them and break them :)

That was going to be my guess. I need to buy one.
yes YES you must consume!!!!! Stihl commands and I must obey :)
I should have them listed on Ebay tonight - punch down tool OEM Stihl or the part number.

I shamefully admit I had to buy a few sets of the foam die cut Stihl tool insert sets for my toolbox drawers, even though they organize them in a different way than I would.
I don't have a problem, I can stop buying chainsaw specialty tools whenever I want :)

hmmmm....freebie drawing for the green socks, they are UBER SILLY and oh so functional, combining the ability to ward off the pinches of co-workers in your saw shop on St. Patricks Day with the classy warmth of a traditional fitted sock.
These beauties are emblazoned with the Stihl logo - sure to make any saw run 40% faster in the hands of the wearer, and the time honored shamrock - which really has nothing to do with Stihl as far as I know :)

Drawing ends tomorrow midnight or maybe Saturday after I get back from breakfast, as I haven't been up till midnight n a mighty long time.
To enter merely like the ridiculous first post in this thread, that gives me an easy list to count from without worrying if all of you guys know how to spell you own name and/or cut and paste a piece of text :)
Open internationally, socks and shipping on me.

Peace love and bacon (not turkey bacon, real bacon, smoked and delicious)
Dave

  • I have that tool also and i like using it to pry the av plastic caps off instead of a screwdriver seems to not scratch the case or indent the plastic as much. I know its designed for pushing ignition wires in the groves but it works well for those caps too.
