We spend most of the afternoon sorting out a few minor issues with the Solo, oiler and fuel related, but in the end it does seem to start, run, idle, oil, and cut as it should.

Between the two, I would much rather work on the the Dolmars, very straightforward design, simple construction, and very well built saws.

Commencing ms460 assembly

Well I got the bearings on the crank and the tricky side in the case with depth set to the oil pump lip. Now it’s time for me and the wife to sit down and watch another episode of John Adams. I’ll get the case and engine assembled tomorrow.

Also, I did a complete case-split rebuild of this 365sp last night with a buddy of mine. It got new crank, bearings, piston, rings, seals, fuel lines, clutch parts, carb kit, and a used good cylinder.

so, 2 KS cylinders, using the same oe thin-ring piston, I get Sq of 31 on one and 21 on the other...no gaskets.
Will try a couple of other pistons just for fun.
Also, 3 coils to try...2 have fixed position holes, the 3rd has wiggle room. I dont want to advance too much...i like my arm and shoulder...
