Well I know people either hate or love these saws. Well my mini 25 has the crappy starter assembly and after finally getting it running it broke. Well I desided to by the upgrade just wasnt worth it. Almost 100 bucks with shipping. So i dug it out the other day and started tinkering with it and brought it back to life. Well at least tje starter assy. I cant locate tje three screws for it now lol. Will get some tonight and see if she fires up after its almostba year of sleep lol.
It seems to pull over fine with just holding tje starter cover in so hope its good to go again.

I built one from the best parts of three and it's getting sand blasted and repainted. The engine was rebuilt by @Steve

You need the spool with the metal 4 prong engagement part. I have one from a MM6

Nevermind. Yours is the removable starter.

The Mini is an heirloom compared to the garbage that passes for most consumer saws these days. Those that are decent are way overpriced for what they are.
They go for way more then they are worth. I got this one for 20. I see a lot of non runners go for 100 and up.

Also would anyone have number 62 and 63 from a parts saw they would be willing to part with for a reasonable price. I just choke it to shut it off when it was running.

I may have those and the pull start part you need. Do you need the plastic spool or the metal version?

When I was a kid, the Eager Beaver version was around $69.95. You could get factory seconds for even less, they had an FR prefix in the model number.

Poulan, Mac, and Homie did not manage their image very well. They aggressively pursued the cheap saw market, which caused no one to take them seriously and recast them as makers of throwaway products.

The home made starter assy seems to work good. Had the saw running this morning. Sure do like the sound of these little fellas.
