Are they hard like a rock? (this time of year they are probably soft with rot) We had one like that in our yard when I was a kid. Was some kind of decorative apple/cherry conglomeration and the neighbor kid were always throwing them at eachother.
Looks to be some sort of Callery pear cultivar. The problem with it is there are tons of fruit on it from being cross pollinated with another pear cultivar making it easily spread (ie. Invasive). If it was my property I'd cut that mutha down asap. It will likely make nice smoker wood.
