Most Stihl manuals will specify a 50:1 mix, I don't know what "best" is though

H1R is real thick and doesn’t combust unless loaded like milling lumber. A lot better choices out there especially for mtronic saws like Yamalube, maxima k2, amaoil saber, and so on.

Run whatever you normally run unless you have a problem with it.

My saws are not Mtron.

I did today. Too fat down low.

Switched from yesterday's 40-1 to today's 32-1. I'm not running the mill loaded hard enough to keep the low cleaned out doing shorter narrower pieces. I was only cutting 25"-32" walnut logs 11ft long. It likes 40-1 on them apparently. The tune was a pia to find down @ idol. Saw ran great, pulled hard. Four stroked a bit earlier, meh. Going to dump a quart or so in that two gallons of mix and call it good. Idols were better in all my saws @40-1. Summer is just easier to tune in @32-1 imo ymmv. The long bar always gets 32-1 only!

Edit. Pump 88 or 89. 10% Eth

I’m going to be running Bel-ray H1-R I’ve heard good things about this oil, I believe Mastermind runs this oil
H1R Belray or Hondas best, about the same oil, are good to best out there. I tested lots of it in stuff and saws. Very low wear but like Mike said.....you better get it hot or your muffler will weep goo.
