Any chance that something like an assembly, from an Echo unit,
might physically fit into the location and work for ya?
Look closely at how the choke moves and try to envision if it will clear everything and be free to operate on your unit.
Clear the fuel cap or throttle cable, etc.
Make sure they are selling you the
entire assembly (the front
AND the back etc)
I've seen adds using a misleading (stock) image and you're only actually getting
half of the housing.
Oh and make sure these parts flippers haven't stripped the damned choke assembly out.
Some sellers are bad for picking petty bits off and then gouging you for them.
Don't forget to make sure you can get the filter element to fit the new filter housing also.
Screws or Carburetor mounting studs need to long enough to pass through the new filter unit too. Might need to find longer ones.
Yeah, a bit of details to watch for, but if you like the trimmer, and it's in good condition worth the money, why not?

I've replaced a couple of Ryobi trimmer assemblys with a different version from Echo or Homelite, where there was room to fit and operate the choke.
There are sometimes several different filter assemblys from other brands of trimmers that can be fitted if you don't mind spending the time to look carefully at all of the pictures.
Probabaly a good time to pull the drive cable or shaft and give it a wipe down and fresh grease, If it's never been done.
Hate to see the drive line break after spending money on the rest of the machine!
