I picked up a husky 261. The fast idle lock stop is broken off where it was supposed to hit. It's the white piece. See how you can accidentally push the choke lever too far making the lever go past parallel to the carb. If done so the bottom part of the lever slips off where it rides in the metal. When it does that it's stuck on throttle lock and choke.

Has anyone done a fix for this?

I'm thinking maybe pull apart , drill a micro hole and heat then insert a very tiny brad.

The part is basically NLA.

The piece is upside down in the part pick compared to the way it is on the saw.

I think i figured out a fix. Rather than working on the carb to fix the lever I think I can place a pin right in the choke lever so it stops when hitting the case. Somewhere around the blue dot. I'll just set on full choke mark drill and pin. Ya- it's dirty. The pic was before I cleaned it up and repaired the choke lever with stainless wire. Down the road I'll probable try to go with a better carb. No reason to dump money in this one even if its only a few bucks.

Fixed.
Small screw from the bottom. Cut off on top. Fine tuned with a needle file.
