WAS using Echo Red Armor. Prices got way out of hand, pushing $30 per can. Not a gallon, a can.
So I switched to VP Premix Fuels. in 50:1 What I found:
1. You get a full gallon from VP, not 110 ounces like Echo gives you. You get an extra tankful for less money than Echo Red Armor.
2. Higher octane rating of 94 vx 93
3. Superb shelf life. Had it in a saw which sat unused for 6 mos. Fired it up the other day and the saw ran like a crazed woman. I never winterize my stuff, just leave the VP fuel in the tank and fuel system all year long. I never get any smells of stale gas, so they must be using a good stabilizer.
4. Easy to find for sale - Tractor Supply sells it, and I thought I saw it in a Carquest store.
Have fun, don't cut into your knees.
