One more thing to show you.
The PVL ignition one piece coil will share the crankcase cavity with the oil tank. Snugly wrapped up in a silicone envelope and covered up with a cover made from the 1.5mm thick carbon fiber sheet I'm holding. Then held down with wee little 3mm titanium screws.
The Honda CR250R bikesaw will get the identical treatment.

So I put my thinking cap on this morning while tinkering with the Yamaha.

I'm looking at my 8 ft side bench and attached downdraft table. I thought rather then build another room with that bench for blasting, sanding, cutting etc.
I'll build that bench with it's own built in downdraft with a stove squirrel cage exhaust fan mounted underneath, exhausting to the outdoors.
Lay a sheet of 16"×30" precut hepa filter under the steel mesh top to protect the fan.

Last picture is my thinking cap.
My oldest daughter who'll be 40 this year gave me that ball cap when I put her into university 22 years ago.

I designed and built alot stuff with that cap, my chipper side dump trailer in my avatar pic included.

Did some major renovations in my little 12'×8' chainsaw shop now that we got some warm spring weather. Will really help out in my CR250R and YZ125 projects.

Got the down draft table built into the end of the side work bench.
And swapped out my tool chest with the one out of my main shop.

Hello everyone, thought I better check in with how my project is going.
Winter project time is now officially over here in northern Manitoba. I'm back up and running my solo operated tree service slaying trees and stumps.

This covid 19 quarantine thing is kind of a blessing in disguise. No rush for any competitions or gtg anytime soon. So I'm doing alot of backtracking and throwing alot of my build pieces in the scrap pile.

Finally got the fuel/oil tanks (foundation building the bikesaws around) done nicely.
My welder did a beautiful job. He used mig on the exterior and tig in the interior on the chain oil tank.
Super solid!
Now to polish them up like a mirror.
I gotta say I wouldn't be at this level with performance mods without the help of Bigmac...
Nathan thanks again!

Looking good on the saws. And like the side dump chipper unit.

Over a week of heavy rain here every day .
Nice break from taking out trees and spending the time on the hotsaw projects.

At the moment doing bar pad mount construction on both saws which will finally enable me to cut and balance the sideplates with the top handles.
My machinist made a really good 12T .404 rim sprocket/hub. Making the rope spool mount tomorrow.

The 202°/130° YZ125 will rip with the 12 T .404 rim on the 18" roller with Oregon 50AL .404 chain

Harvester stuff is rediculiously cheap for sure... Had a guy give me this a while back. Some day I will build a saw with enough stones to pull it.
Mix of Oregon and Stihl, mostly new. If you were closer I would pass it on.

Hey thanks for the offer,
This new chamfer chisel Oregon .080 harvester chain looks like really nice stuff. High depth gauges and cutters, heavy duty chassis rated for min.25hp/ max.65hp.
I heard alot of problems with the expensive Stihl 46RST high tooth Timbersports chain with its low depth gauges and stretching problems.
This 19HX has potential as a good solid race chain with a little work.
