Money is a little tight so floating the idea of selling off some of the saws I don't time to work on. I don't have current pictures of all of them. Some are at my other place, and the ones here are out in a freezing barn that I need to dig out from this weekends ice/snowstorm.

You can post or PM me if there is an interest in any of them and I'll try get pictures and some more details on the condition, maybe compression test. Might take a week or two depending on which saw(s) and where they are located. Some have bars but may cost more to ship.

Easiest way for me to ship is FedX. Prefer US postal MO.

Stihls

056

1) 056M well worn from a logger, and ran/started but has suspect bad coil, partially disassembled have to check if any parts missing?. Dies after a few minutes running. Piston has wear but no scoring. Need to get pictures.

2) 056M complete saw was told it ran by former owner, but oiler not working. Good cosmetics. Have not tried to run it or checked P/C. Need to get pictures.

3) 2 or 3 056? parts carcasses. Could part these out or sell whole. Good for parts only, missing parts on all. No pictures now.

046 Has broken handle. Turns free and P/C looks OK through muffler. Would have to check if P/C is OEM. Handle gas tank broken. Have a few pictures. Could part out. Have recoil assy

046 top.jpg046 piston.jpg046.jpg

440 Similar to the 046 above. Have a few pictures. Need to check if P/C is OEM. Could part out.

044 intake :handle.jpg044 piston.jpg

Early 064, Bosch coil dogleg coil mounts. Have not tried to start it. Complete and P/C looks OK. Has upgraded HD air filter. Case has a crack around one of rear AV mounts but should be reparable, need pics of this one.

026

1) from farm auction. Complete have not tried to run it. Has 150psi compression, but piston shows some carbon on ex side. Might be a candidate for new piston or run as is. Have some pictures.

2) Complete good looking saw but looks to have been straight gassed or lean seized. A good candidate for piston or P/C if cylinder won't clean up. Need to get pictures.

Husky

257. Don't know much about this one, was given to me. Missing air filter parts. Pulls over and has compression, have not pulled the muffler to check P/C

Prices on the saws?

Need to think on that. I'll have to look them over more closely. Don't want too much if they are more junk than worth fixing, but not giving them away either.

Open to offers at this point, and gauging interest if it's worth my time to get more information/pictures. Shipping would be actual cost of shipping and any supplies needed to ship from 01201.

I can try to give more information based on my memory, but they have been sitting quite a few years stored in a dry unheated barn or garage.

Which ones you thinking of? I can make those a priority to get more photos and check condition. Let me know if it's parts your interested in or fixing/running them. Some have potential to be good runners, others like the 440/046 just for parts.

It's cold as hell here and we got snow, 15hrs of freezing rain, and more snow on top of that. Long dirt driveway was a sheet of ice before all that started. I put down ~ 75-gallons of sand/salt mix before hand, good thing I did.

Supposed to be close to zero next two nights. Hoping any moisture left in the snow will evaporate a bit or sink in before I try to plow. Won't be rummaging in the barns until it warms up.

How's you weather been out west?

When you come up with prices let me know. I Perfectly understand your thought pattern.

I generally try to avoid making offers. LOL

046 and 026 saws are the ones of greater interest.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words.

Same here as far as interest goes. Wouldn’t mind more pics of the 026’s.

You know it’s cold when you tell a Canadian it was -43 and they say “wow, that’s cold”. It was -28f here this morning is supposed to be -31f here tomorrow morning with +40f’s in the 10 day forecast. I put some Windsor and Fireball out tonight. The Windsor will turn to syrup and will be good on my morning pancakes and the Fireball will be a great popsicle to lick for a morning snack. It’ll be a solid brick by morning.

I'd have to dig those out to check. From what I remember they had been scavenged over pretty well and not sure if they turned free.

Well if you bump across them doing other stuff send me a few pictures. No hurry whatsoever and if you never do, no worries.

They are saying in the 30s by the weekend. I hope so! We are just about to start calving. I expect some early ones this week.

Primarily looking to sell 026 #1.

#2 I may end up keeping as is a cleaner saw and I have a NOS OEM P/C set and new 194 carb for. I could keep the parts, as I have a running 026 too.

Well if you bump across them doing other stuff send me a few pictures. No hurry whatsoever and if you never do, no worries.

Those are buried under one of my work benches, which is buried under more stuff. And I'll have to refresh my memory how to tell the Supers from the Mag as they are missing parts.

Might be interested in the 257

That one is easy to get to. Looks pretty good and not very filthy. Will try to get pics of P/C and missing airfilter parts. Seem to be some stuff missing on the rear handle too.

Everyone, I'll post here as soon as I can look over the saws, get more pictures, and better answer questions asked. Just be patient.

Thanks.
