USMC615 pro mac 700 raffle saw

It's time to get this vintage American chainsaw back in shape to go cut wood.

It's a pretty solid saw to start with. The piston looks to be in pretty good shape with strong compression.

Good looking clutch and bar pad.

As far as parts needed I have a replacement tank and cap on hand, but I don't have a fuel line/filter.



This clutch cover is in overall usable shape, but I don't like the mag rot. I do not have an exact match and I'd prefer to locate one with a chain brake intact.

It turns out this thing is going to need a little more TLC than previously thought.
After getting it cleaned up I found a couple problems. The exhaust might be fixable if the piston skirt is wide enough,


but the divider missing the plating this far up on the transfer is a deal breaker.

I'm hoping there is a good used cylinder available for a good price.

I'm waiting on a reply from a McCulloch parts guy who believes he has a nos cylinder in the box. He's on the road right now and I have to wait a couple hours until he gets home to verify.
