You'll need the adapter for the 19 to work in a 797 if you don't already have it. The throttle and choke linkages are different as well.

Hi , yes on the adapter. I don’t have one but read your conversation with mark and others and I would be okay with 3d printed or fabricated as others have and are doing. Got a couple Tilly to back up the flat back for the 797 and feel better about the situation,but if someone wanted the wj I’m just sitting on it. I really want to get the 6-10 up to it’s potential. Sdc 18
While I have you on the line, attempting to place original tank back on the 038 and the dam thing won’t draw fuel. Impulse is clear and it has spark.
As you can see I repaired the manifold wall but feel not an issue.(but maybe) The after market tank worked well but would not turn machine off. Any thoughts. I’m about to make a gasket.

Thanks for replying, things are better. There has to be a better after market filter, my lord!
Removed the collar and pulled without plug and thumb as choke kept cinching down in increments till thump wet.
Motor did a rappa. Happy but it’s 12:30 my neighbours like me so wont try again till tomorrow

Thinking I will run this jug that originally came with the 038. I really wallowed out the case head bolts. Clean up scruff up clean again then fill high heat jb ,drill and bobs your uncle.
Or acid clean and fill with aluminum filler.
Think there’s any reason I can’t get a good quality piston and ring set and hand file to the same specks as this original piston to match porting.
While gathering parts for project I have almost halve a saw saying me too.
