There were two very similar models, the Le Sabre and one they called Thrifty Mac. I have been told there were subtle differences but I could not tell you what the differences are. Basically they are the Model 33/35 powerhead laid down on their side and made into a direct drive saw. They are peculiar due to the bar being mounted on the left hand side, that was not done on many saws. I believe these were produced in the plant in Ontario primarily targeting the pulpwood cutter in Ontario and Quebec.

They are not as common as the other 33/35/39 models, but value is always determined by the buyer.

BTW, that listing has been up for months and no one yet has decided it was worth $1000.

The Thrifty Mac had some yellow and black plaid paint scheme, you will sometime find that on some of the early 1-4X saws as well.

Here is a piece of 35 literature depicting the plaid scheme.
