I thought it was time for us to share our experience with OEM prices that just knock us down.
Most of the times I check US prices and multiply the amount by 2, that is very close to prices Husky operate with in Norway and I'm fine with that.

Here is my experience from today.....

Choke shafts for Husky 242 and 262, OEM price is 10-12$ each in Norway who make sense compared to US prices.

Throttle shaft for 242, luckily I only ordered 2 of them...... 44$ for each

Throttle shaft for Husky 262........ 118$ each.... 118$ for one shaft, it's cheaper to buy a brand new carb in Norway.

It's very difficult to return back parts to Husky when the parts is correct, but there is a case going on between my dealer and Husky now, he gave them a long lecture on the phone and they will continue to sort it out through mail.

Dang Tor that's unreal!!!!!
lol ya, it for sure a shock Mike.
I counted out that those 5 shafts cost around 1/2 a new 550XPG!!!
I'm very currious how it will end up though...

Ouch. Those prices are terrible.
I checked the price in US tonight, around 7-8$ for a 262 shaft.

@Tor R you should go to Husky Norway with an Echo CS 590 clutch cover in one hand, and a top cover in the other, and say, "Lower your prices, or some fool is getting cut".
good idea Jon, unfortantly I dont have any Echo's but maybe Niko could borrow me a few parts of his 100+ Echo collection?

I enquired about a new throttle shaft for a Stihl 076 in Australia and got told $124

I laughed at him and walked out.

A member here sent me one from Canada for $20 posted

I contacted Stihl Australia and was told all Stihl dealerships are independently run and they suggested I shop around.

I now shop online from the USA and Germany

Husky Scandinavia has probleby priced those shafts wrong, but to get it changed take a bit effort from my dealer and understanding from Husky.
Maybe it's time for Husky Scandinavia to go through their stock and adjust the prices ;)

we have the same price dealer to dealer.
Dealers earn around 20-40%, depend of what type item they sell

those nuts is ruffly 9 $ for each,
242 gaskets, 9$ for each,
decor 29$,

I am floored by the prices you're posting on simple almost insignificant parts. I'd hate to see what a P&C kit goes for, sheeze.
top end kit is not so bad, 290+ for 346 or 550 kit.

I didnt ordered anything fancy, simple normal stuff that we need for maintance.
I dont know whatever happen with those prices, either its Husky or AK, I for sure gone figure it out tomorrow.

Is there some government regulatory cause that is jacking your prices on parts?? What better way to take those old "polluting" saws out of circulation than to make it cost prohibitive to keep them in repair
