Post up your pics so the newbies will not be surprised when they find a T-post, concrete, glass bottles, fence wire, bullets, horseshoes, assorted chains, ceramic insulators, toys, live animals, lag bolts, large spikes, nails of all sizes, hinges, and so forth.

Barbed wire Lots of that on an ongoing project. Had an auger up high in a tree once Car door. I was cleaning up an old iron pile that had trees growing through it. After the initial failures I used the backhoe to take care of most of the trees

I found a very pissed off possum with no ass that I had just sawed off in a hollow sassafras log. Pushed up on his front legs and was about 6" from my face growlin like hell.

Didn't shoot no pictures but, I did feed him 5 helpings of lead.
1 to end his pain and 4 more just cause he scared the *f-word out of me.

I was under the impression that objects found in trees don't travel up as the tree grows.
Bullets, barbwire, maple syrup taps, spike nails are about all I have ran into.

Nails, bullets, and spiles (maple syrup taps) from ground level to way up. Stuff will go up as the tree grows.
