I have a 181 bottom end plus a good used thin ring P&C set. I also have a set of Homelite rings that I think can be fit with a little filing.

I was gonna have Mike Lee build me a racer out of it but decided I'm too old. Or grew up or got smart or something.

I'm sure that remodeling my shop sounded weird. What I'm doing is removing the tanked water heater in the utility room so I can shoe horn a 3' triangular shower in it's spot and replacing the old water heater with a tankless in the attic.

All this so I can rent my house out and have a place to crash like a motel 6 room when I need it.

I have one out of a MS 440, a few marks on top and a little streaking on the skirts. I put a Meteor in it but it would be fine to run.

What would cause a piston to thin so severely only on one side?

My guess would be bearings. I know I would put some in there after seeing how much aluminum they have been grinding up.

Grit going by the filter. Concrete saws are like that a lot
