Just sent a get F'ed email to the solar idiots. Did some looking at the company and how they do business and their social media. Told them to never contact me or my parents again. Must be nice to drive around in $100,000+ electric cars you get from government payouts and God only knows what your house costs all the while you run down the people who use tractors and trucks that use diesel to put food on your table.
There are predators in every bush. Most people can sniff them out, but some fall for the pitch. Just be glad you are on the wiser end, and not the gullible end.

Sad thing is there are several older farmers in the area that would not be able to look up these scumbags and what they stand for. I might need to contact some of them and have a chat. The main problem is that most of the land west and south of me have no houses and the older land owners may see it as an easy income. Since they live elsewhere it is no blight on their view.

Amazing, we have all the barren land in the world that sees much sun, and they want to plant that stuff on good Aire able farmland. Doesn't cost much to ship electricity, since we have a national grid, except Texas I believe. Also, seems the west coast needs the most electrical capacity. None of this makes any sense. Why don't they use highway medians?

Meth heads would scrap every bit of them if they were installed in the medians.

Just think how many we would lose due to traffic. Meth heads would try to steal them during the day when energized. Would make for some interesting incidents.

Why can’t they put all the panels on the town houses and industrial areas where they need the electricity
NIMBY reasons. Not In My Back Yard. It's fine to have them where they don't have to see them just so they get the perceived benefits. Much like driving an electric car. You justify it because you think you are saving the environment , but in reality you are shutting your eyes to the fact that the products to build it are being made in a foreign country with no regulations. Strip mining for lithium is a big business and somehow people can find a way to justify it vs. the use of fossil fuels. It is bad when someone cannot see that their electric car started its life dependent on large machinery running off diesel.

So this cold spell has caused fruit problems here. Peaches and plums will probably not produce this year. They fell for the fake spring and blossomed, only for frost to end that bloom. Nothing else had flowered yet, and our regularly scheduled weather should arrive in a couple days. Still harvesting firewood for next year. Should finish today. No rain for a few days, first dry spell we have had this year. Grasses are growing well, so hay should be good. Getting everything ready for haying is done, just need the grass and weather to Cooperate.

Enjoy your Sunday, and stay warm.

Looks like the colder weather has passed us. Going into the 60-70's range for the next couple weeks according to the weather guessers. Grasses seem to be growing well, they just fertilized the field next to mine, then it rained, so my valley should be fertilized well, as the runoff comes right through me. Starting plants for the garden in the sunroom. Will prep the garden right before planting, added a bunch of organics last fall, and the chickens have been spreading it for me all winter. Almost time to kick them out.

Hope everybody has a good year.

Backer on one side of steering cylinder decided to show itself Sunday morning. Seal kits are not cheap. Took a couple of days between work and all the other thing to do to get it done, but back together and going in time for a feed for the girls.

What do you all do with your waste bedding after mucking out? I have been piling it up in the goat enclosure to let compost and figured I would spread it on my fields, but it seems the goats munch on it when they get bored and come in for the night. I ended up doing a controlled burn to make it less attractive to them. I give these goats nice pasture and woods with edge to browse, and they come in big and fat every day. Yet they decided this fecal, peed on hay that is decomposing is suddenly desirable. I gave them a couple of round bales, pear trees and pine trees to nibble on.

Maybe I have to put the pile somewhere else in the future. Just trying to handle the material as little as possible.IMG_9216~2.jpgIMG_9217~2.jpgIMG_9213~2.jpg
