I’ve gotten to use mine a few times lately for some big willows and cottonwood. Seems to be an ‘87 or so, but with a later Mahle cylinder installed on it. Maybe it will be heading out for port work in the near future. I’d like to split the case and have it powder coated and install new bearings.

I have an 066 that went through an ether fire...the guy that owned it wanted to spray off the sawdust and bar and chain oil off of his saw after using it, tried blowing the stuff off with a can of ether and caught it on fire. By the time he got the fire out, most of the plastics on top had melted. It took me a while to peel it all apart and then get new plastics back on it. It runs good, but now I am dealing with a couple of broken bolts to get it finished. It could probably do with a case split too and a rebuild, but it will have to wait for an 046 first.

I'm looking for someone to powdercoat 064 cases if you or anyone else knows who might help with that?

@Stump Shot just had an 084 case powder coated by @Glock37 , here is a link to the finished product:

If you could get him to do it, @srcarr52 would be high on the list for the 064: A2C0B9FD-939A-493E-90D8-E44EC318406E.jpeg

It's paint and media blasting, so the powder coating adheres to the metal.
My glass bead media won’t touch the Stihl “paint” unless it has already started to flake. I was wondering if he was using some sort of chemical stripper.
Husqvarna? No problem :p

Not to my knowledge he doesn't, you would have to ask Mike for more details.
