Well fellow campers it's been over five years ago that I drug two junkers from a shed and was bitten by CAD.

Always a champion of the underdog I chose Remington to collect because they are cheap and I had little competition on evilbay. [emoji108]

The Logmaster heavyweights (literally!).

SL-5R gear drive, GL-7 and Pro 88.

Thanks fellas!

More later.

Just in case you come across needing these and my friend still has. I posted this on CR back in March. Remington PL4-PL5 piston cylinder kits for sale new.

Also send me a regular bar and I will send you this 23" Remington rollernose bar I have.

Super 75A and a Wards/660(?).

The 75A got me beating on Mo. Jim's door 'till he let me in.

The Wards is an evilbay buy. Yes, the baby blue is original as I've come across two others same scheme. It has a real 16" bar!

The SL have comp release but the PL don't (Wards and John Deere) so be prepared.[emoji6]

The Wards 5.0" sans bar is from Thomas1. He had a moment of weakness.[emoji48] Very lightly used condition.

Pretty SL-55 is attempt at restoration.

John Deere 23 is a more serious attempt. A local sigh company did the vinyl graphics. That weren't cheap.[emoji15]

IIRC, all these were snagged off evilbay as non running carcasses. Overhauled them and painted some.

PL-4 is invariably manual oiler saws.

Tip: Rim drive setups are same a Homie XL-12/SXL. Oregon 30666

Piston rings are same as SXL and likely the piston to boot.

The Oregon rim drive setup allows all sorts of options on bar/chain.

Had to slide on rim/bar/chain as a unit as one driver more ran out of adjustment.

Yeah, found a 7/16" rim and just had to use it.[emoji12]

SL-10 is from Mark Meyer many moons ago. The roller nose bar from Cbfarmall. I replaced the tin muffler with an SL-9 stack.[emoji6]

The John Deere 15/SL-10, IDK where it came from offhand. I got the OEM sticker from local Deere dealer and the '15' on the clutch cover by the sign company.

The SL-16 peed fuel on my workbench after my homemade gasket failed so I banished him to the misc. pile.

I have several Wards 2.8" in this series I use for parts. The tiny Fairbanks Morse starter setup is rare and often trash in this series.

If you have a pile of Remington left over from when you used them everyday does that make you a collector? Or a hoarder?
