Tanaka / Kogi making no more gas power equipment

I'm confused its talked about echo in that not Tanaka . I cant imagine echo going under right now

I've a Tanaka hedgecutter over 10 years, never serviced never broke down either, toughest machine ever, always starts second pull, I wouldn't like to walk the amount of hedges it cut must be miles and miles for sure

If I'm not mistaken, Tanaka hasn't actually made anything for several years now. My understanding is they and their Hitachi stablemates are rebadged from another manufacturer. It wouldn't be surprising for them to call it quits on OPE, since the combined marques have made next to zero progress in capturing market share.
