I got one for my 288 and it didn’t fit. Bar studs too close together. Ended up opening the middle to make it work. I also had add a link or two to my loop because the adjuster hole isn’t in the same spot. Ended up getting a bar that fit my husky and swallowed that pill.

The one I got before, the studs were spaced further than the adapter holes allowed.

some stihl mount bars need to lengthen the bar stud slot or the chain is too short to mount though.

Yep, had to lengthen the slot on my Stihl lite bar for it to work on my 394xp. Easy fix with a cordless angle grinder on the bumper of the truck.

@Homelite410 was the metal wizard who was making the ones @fordf150 stocked for the dolkitas if I'm remembering correctly.
Yeah I got ahold of Mike for an adapter. I decided I'm also going to make my own rings out of pipe like Wayne suggested. I'll have the bar slot machined me thinks, I've got a friend with a bridgeport.

Making them out of that tubing is super easy. Pm me your address brother, and I’ll send you a couple of sets.

Do you leave the burrs on the inside of the tube? Ive tried cleaning a few up but they would fly off to a low earth orbit. So now I leave them there "thinking" they'll aid in biting the stud.

I de-burr each side until it’s a snug fit. I put the pipe in the vise, then de-burr the first end before I cut it, then clamp the little rings and de-burr those later. If I don’t de-burr them at all they’ll be too tight to get on the studs.

If your buddy ain't available their is some cheap ebay carbide burrs on the bay that will work very nicely.
