Is there an echo in here? The cases are different on the mtronic and non mtronic saws. So you can’t really put mtronic parts on a non mtronic... and you can’t really put non mtronic parts on a mtronic. If that makes sense. Lol. That said you can swap just the cylinder/piston to make a runner. I would personally prefer to build it as a non mtronic as there is less wires and BS to go wrong on a already complicated saw.
How'd the pressure and vac test come out?Go home.
Hmm. Maybe they changed something on certain model years... but I investigated putting late mtronic stuff on a early model non mtronic case and it didn’t work out. This is the problem I ran into... https://www.arboristsite.com/community/threads/ms-441-m-tronic-conversion.323726/ I decided it was not worth the amount of effort. Easier to build it as a non mtronic. Which would be a more reliable build anyway.View attachment 244891 Mtronic and non mtronic cases are the same on my 441 441c
I just used a mtronic case and top end that got ran over and put all non mtronic flywheel, coil, carb, fuel tank/handle View attachment 244891 View attachment 244892 View attachment 244893 View attachment 244894 View attachment 244895 View attachment 244895 on it. Here are pics.
Who knows what was really there to begin with and who had messed with it. You can see the different bosses for the wiring. You are not the first person who mentioned the differences to him, hence the echo comment.Hmm.
