News to me about a heated handle 500i, as far as I’ve been told, they don’t exist

Aren’t you missing the generator ?

Good gloves are way cheaper I'm sure.
I bought a 4" Stihl pre mold fuel line recently & it was $12 + tax.:(
Carb heater might be handy in super cold weather tho (if available).

Maybe a cheaper conversion then a couple of the 660's i have done. No flywheel and generator to buy. Control unit is probably the most expensive part.

I’d be very interested in doing this conversion too. I already have the 500i. Can US dealers order the parts?

Confirmed this morning, still no date on availability of 400 or 500 Arctic's.

Lots of stock of both styles of 462 and Wrap 661's.

Well I ordered the parts from the uk. Only part that was back ordered was the control unit. They wont have it till November some time. Guessing the only difference is there is 2 more pins in the rearward connector, to power the heated handles.

Guessing it will have to go to the dealer to be calibrated, also appears they will have to transfer the data for original control unit.

Did you wind up getting a control module?

All the parts minus the on/off switch cover, finally shipped from the UK yesterday. Stihl delayed it twice adding about 2 months to get.

The switch cover is now orderable from the uk it was not originally listed for sale. But the dealer came through i guess by pressure to get them to list it. So that is ordered with them seeing it by beginning of February. Gotta come from Germany.

Just might have it put together before spring. Picked up a new 500 about 2 weeks ago to do the conversion.
