FOUND IT Stihl ms 271

An old timer in his 80s that I'm friends with still gets out there and cuts his firewood, he probably shouldn't be..but anyway..he roached his 271, I took the muffler off and it's scored pretty bad. He lives on Social security and I'm just gonna buy him one.

Let me know if one of you boys or girls would sell me one.

If it has the clamp intake it would be pretty easy to get it going again with one of these: I have worked on a few 271’s…they were way too lean from the factory.

I understand. If you do snag him a new one, make sure you tune it well.

I'm pretty sure I know what he did. He buys 6 packs of the 2.5 gallon mix bottles at the dealer and when he filled his 5 gallon can he only put one in, there's oil in the gas but I can tell it's pretty thin...and then this thing was lean as hell from the factory.

He's pretty sharp for his age, I know younger people that have made bigger mistakes...like forgot the gas didn't even have oil in it at all..

I'll take a 291/261 as well, anything he can run that 18" bar on.
