What should I do with this cylinder? run it as is? run a red scotch brite through it? Thanks for any pointers

Thats nothing to worry about imo. If the saw is running like it should, i.e no air leaks and good tune.

I’d sand all the port edges a little, stratch of the carbon deposits on the squish band and exhaust and then scotchbrite it a little.

I'm rebuilding the saw. Took it apart to repaint the cases and install new bearings and seals. Found out the crank was blue by the bearing so that was a nice surprise..
