I'm in process of getting quotes for crank/bearing install tools.... potentially a universal set.

for the most part, husky uses m8x1.0 and m10x1.0 RH for flywheels.

pto sizes are all left hand ... m10x1.0, m10x1.5, m12x1.25 and m14x1.25

SPECIAL THANKS TO @Tor R for this list!

the stihl 660 is m12x1.0 LH clutch and m10x1.0 flywheel .... so the m12x1.0 would be new to the list, but m10 not new.

ARE THERE ANY SIZES I'M MISSING??????

would be nice to know before I get prototypes made...

660 and a few others are the big thread and the others are the same as a 372.

This might help. They are the stihl adaptors from the crank tool. Maybe someone can look up the specs on the adaptors. If I find the thread pitch tool I'll get themView attachment 63406

2420- m8-1.0
2421-m10-1.0
took same tool from my zs puller and used my thread checker

ok, so the m12x1.0 for 660 covers other models in the stihl lineup...

already have m10x1.0 and m8x1.0 for flywheel side

also have an m10x1.0 lh I think ... 346xp :) according to Tor R....

I just want to make sure there isn't anything else that covers some super awesome common stihl saw...

880... anyone?

What are you doing all this for?
I split and put back together 2 394's today and I used a brass hammer and a heat gun.

Assembly tools. You'll be testing them don't worry :)

Just need someone to looK up 661 shop manual and see if the crank/ clutch threads are there.

I think I hit the high points so far...

I don't know what they are but I do know a 661 is bigger in the clutch side.

880 is m14x1 ....660 is m12x1

Can't imagine 661 isnt m14x1...would be pointless to make it something else....

372 is m14x1.25

Angelo, I don't know what 1.5 and 1.0 mean... m10x1.0 and m10x1.5? is that what you are referring to? without a size 1.0 and 1.5 don't mean much

but yes, I am intending for my universal set to cover stihl and husky.... by in large

took same tool from my zs puller and used my thread checker

Backhoe gave us the coupling sizes above. I was referring to the "step" in the thread on the stihl tools. The threads were 1.0 on the first "step" and 1.25 on the larger diameter thread.
Good job so far...it really shouldn't take too much "tooling" for your tool !!!
