What’s it do ?

Bore a hole like a small post hole auger ?
It was actually used by a road building crew. They would bore holes in huge stumps to blast. But that’s when a Powder Monkey could buy dynamite and blasting caps over the counter.

That and they had different bits for tree-planting crews. I have the same attachment but mine came with two larger auger bits for tree planting. The crews here would use them for tough ground
with an 036 or 266 powerhead. One guy would auger and two other guys would plant.

I tried to fit it onto a Husqvarna 61. The bar mount was too short. Slides right on a Stihl though.

Yeah, back in the day there were different "tails" available for them. I even seen some running with old Olympyk powerheads.

The new ones are around $650. Lewis multi drive is what they are sold as now. We had a couple for tree planting with the state, but switched to smaller tree planting augers instead. Neat tools and the new ones can use a Chuck for wood bits. I’m not sure this one can be adapted or not.
