I have a friend who had a plug come out of his 391. It pulled the threads when it came out. He tried a helicoil and it blew it out as well. Does anyone know of a quality aftermarket kit for these saws? Stealership wanted $329 for the top end kit.

Cheapest route is to have the original welded and retapped.

If you go with a different cyl. Be aware that there are at least two different jugs and intake combinations. If I remember correctly the older is four bolt the later models are three.
