Anyone know what the real differences are? I have a second hand 150 that I opened up the muffler on and defeated the carb limiters. Just finished doing the same on a second hand 151. Don't know yet if I like the 151, the 150 is fine for what it is, but does anyone know of differences?

Port Timing?
Spark Timing?
Anything?

The MS 151 has an revised engine to meet EU 5 stage exhaust gas limits. Cylinder, muffler and piston are different compared to the MS 151. The piston has a flared head. These are the main differences. There may be some other minor differences.

MS 150:

Displacement: 23,6cc
Engine power: 1,0kW
Max torque: 0,95Nm

MS 151:

Displacement: 23,6cc
Engine power: 1,1kW
Max torque: 1,1Nm

The 151 has a popup piston and a chamber to match. Port timing is slightly different, ignition seems the same, but could have a small difference. I feel the 151 makes more power.
