my other question is, how quickly do the extra spacers get the weight back at the factory piston weight?

I don't have an answer for that not having gone that way but was a thought/concern that led to the near weightless in comparison Hi-temp plastic. Going without was also an option, there's plenty enough saws out there that way to prove that. I just as soon not if I could help it in any way shape or fashion.

Able to start the assembly process now.

Picked up a set of seal tools from eBay that a fella made on a 3D printer.
Was nice to set the depth without any worries.

Oil pump through to the clutch progression, there's two different versions, this being the new one. Oil pump has a cable going to it for manual operation, otherwise is pretty basic.

New 088 ignition coil gapped to.2mm with Stihl gauge.

Wiring was had from an AM coil as it was the only to be had. The old wiring is different having a separate external module.

Clutch cover had to be relieved for it to fit with the full wrap handle.

This is the wrong orientation on the bottom, it should be underneath the top layer in-between both.

Carburetor linkage is a bit convoluted and the fuel line orientation needs to be in the correct place.

A skid plate was added.

A new 088 brake parts cover was added, a small slot was cut in it where it cuts the corner by the bar pad.


Bar pad plate covers it up.
