SOLD Stihl 084 + bars/chain $650

Im looking to sell or trade this 084 setup.
I have a 395 and would like a 3120 so I can mix and match bars and chain.
I picked this saw up about 5 years ago with seized rings due to a broken impulse line.
I installed a new stihl piston kit, impulse line, and carb kit. Starts and runs good.
The bad: the decompression button is missing. It still works but it’s not right.
The chain brake doesn’t engage. The handle feels right and clicks forward and back, and the brake band is present. Just doesn’t engage. Never checked into it. Just used it.

2 30 inch bars
1 36 inch bar
Bars are old and well used.
One 30 inch chain has been sharpened once. More new chain on a roll. I can count links if interested.

It is all oem as far as I know. I used all oem parts when I fixed it.
The piston looks good to me. I can get a compression check if you are interested.
BTW I forgot to mention the operator presence lever is stuck down.

Yes! I would have to check on the carb. If I remember correctly from rebuilding it it’s a tillotson?

The piston looks good to me. I can get a compression check if you are interested.

Pull the whole muffler. You'll get a much better piston pic that way. Also a pic of the compression test will go a long way toward making a sale for you around here.

It is a tillotson carb.

I got a compression reading but it was hard to get it because the defective decompression button wanted to suck in with the tester hooked up.

The saw starts and idles great. Seems to be lean in the midrange and plenty rich on the top end.
