I've done some searching but coming up empty. Just curious to know what is the gear ratio on the 041G?
Thanks!

Do you have one? You can figure it easily if you do.

Driver rotation : driven rotation

I picked one up a while ago. Just getting around to looking at it. Yeah, I probably could check rotation but I thought there would be some specs on it.

It’s a bit of a mystery saw. Post some pictures and the specs you find. Probably others would like to know as well.

This is a hypocritical suggestion, mind you. I have one myself and have not shared.

Yeah, when I get a chance I'll show some pics. One thing I'm finding odd about this saw is the amount of compression it has. With two different compression testers, I got over 180+ psi. I have a couple of other gear drive saws and the average is 150 psi but not this one.

Simply take the clutch cover off and rotate the flywheel. Remove the spark plug to make that easy. Compare the flywheel rotations with the clutch rotations. I estimate 2:1. Please correct me if I am wrong. TIA.

The old Mac saws back then also had gear reduction. They looked like snails cutting wood the last I saw one do it. Regardless, they got the job done. Heck, it might have even been 3:1. Engineers back then thought torque was more important than RPM.
