It ran well, and a guy I worked with liked it too, and I'd still be running it if the starter in the farmertec kit would align properly, but it ate 2 starters. I'm not sure if it's the plastic case that's off or the starter. I'm thinking the case since the crankshaft alignment looked off when I put the engine in the case. I tried shifting the starter over, but that didn't work, and just ended up cutting a hole in the gas tank (now patched with JB Weld) while thinning that side.

Maybe it would work well in an OEM case.

Port numbers are 94, 112, 76. Hogged out exhaust port and wide intake. The transfer tunnels were stuffed with JB Weld, no after picture, but I have one of after the epoxy set up and before the intake was finished. Exhaust heat shield and muffler were matched to the exhaust port, and the muffler baffles bent to flow more. The flywheel has roughly 12 degrees of advance.

$110 for the short block only.

Video of the first few cuts with a stock muffler. It was cutting best in the 9500-10,400rpm range. I had 3/8lp on it at the time.

No video of it with a muffler mod unfortunately. Too open of a muffler hurt the low end torque too much for my liking, so I ended up opening the baffle some and just prying open the stock outlet holes.

I got the engine pulled from the case. Only about 2-3 gallons run through it. I'll clean it up a little and post pics.

That is amazing! What all did you do to it? I have one in a box in my project pile :p.
I’m sure I have a few stock 1123 cases if you need one.
