I was looking at a 342 jd but reckon it might be small for a 100hp tractor

The square bales for horses size?

Inline Hesston.

We bailed with New Holland’s & John Deere’s for years & finally went inline.

The uniformity was a must for our New Holland stack wagon.

Ours was a 4590.

There’s a 4550 for sale locally.

55hp tractor will pull it fine. Obviously a 70 does this better but the 2355 did it well.

We use a JD 336. Has proven to be a good unit.

yes horse size bales, I like a inline, there supposed to be better than a conventional baler, but very hard got here and if you do manage to find one, quite expensive aswell

I run a jd 336. It makes beautiful little bricks that are great to stack. A wider pickup would be nice, but that's not the way they rolled back in 1979.

They are great balers. How are you doin Randy?

Doing great Chuck. Cut 23 acres today. That's the last for the year. Takes a long time to get it dry this late in the season. Heavy dew today....

How are you and your family?

If I was shopping for a baler used baler I’d find a mew Holland that wasn’t in terrible shape and put some money into repairing them. In my opinion new Holland really specialized in hay. I’ve got one a round baler from them it’s been very reliable

Use a 328 JD with kicker. Rebuilt tie fingers, auger shaft and bearing. Has been a good unit. Using kicker needs 7200, any thinner and watch them blow apart.
