In the market for a new 18” .325 550xp bar and these look good and affordable. We run two of them and have worn Sugihara, Husq x-cut, and Oregon ProLite.

X-cut has stayed straight but has most rail wear, ProLite lasted over a year but oiler port would occasionally clog whereas x-cut never did. Sugi is about 8months into circulation and fine so far.

Thoughts? Speedcut chain recommended by anyone,

I was impressed with speedcut out of the box in hard euc on a lowly 2050. I cannot comment as to bar durability.

Used up one speedcut chain on my 18" speedcut bar, paint is flaking but hardly any wear and cuts fast, I approve!

Heard good things about VersaCut and seems like the speedcut is .325 version? Longer bar Cannon is on the wishlist.

I’m not sure but speedcut might be .325 narrow kerf & versacut is regular kerf? Not sure about that though.

Oregon not the toughest but are the lightest I think.
Maybe not? I have a Stihl LW 14'' with a LP 3/8 chain on my 201tc. It feels like I'm wielding the weight of a 13'' hand saw .... so to speak. Super light combo.

Yes cannon are good and I have a couple. Just having a really good run with the sugis and we get them for less than Oregon or stihl bars down here .

I have no complaints with sugihara bars, I have a few.

I have a 20” VersaCut with Oregon 20LPX on my 550 mkii and its giving good service. Now about 20 - 25 tanks through the combo. Cut a lot of dried locust with it. Very pleased.

I like the verasacut with .325 .050 stihl chain on 50cc husky/jred. I wouldn’t use them on 60 or up cc
