That is how the crank is made. I thought I had to buy a new crank until cut4fun told me that the crank is made that way lolI'm working on a friends oe 346, it appears to be well used but in pretty good shape. We bought a new p&c from Spike60, and when I pulled the jug tonight I happened to notice that the crank counterweights are not lined up with each other. Can this possibly be okay?

I probably would have asked the same question it does look a little odd doesn't itThanks. It doesn't make sense that the crank could have shifted and it still run reasonably well but that's the first thing that ran through my mind.
Sideways balance....Do we know why ?
As in handling of the saw in use or the running of the motor .Sideways balance....
REPPEDSideways balance....
It is merely a joke. There is a certain Husky Fanboy that is always lamenting the poor balance of a Stihl and extolling the virtuous sideways balance of his beloved Dog saws....errrr I mean HuskiesAs in handling of the saw in use or the running of the motor .
