Solar firewood kiln

With firewood sales increasing each year and me constantly getting calls during the winter, I am pondering the idea of building a solar kiln.
Does anyone have one or have experience with one? Some are built and some are made using old hoop/green houses.
I'd appreciate any info or experience that anyone has.

Subbed. My buddy just lost his kiln to a fire and come to find out his was the second in the area of the same brand. He found out the no longer make that kiln either which raises some thoughts

In our area, there are several defunct lumber operations, with their kilns still intact. I wonder if you have the same in your area? Maybe for nominal rent, they would let you use it?
