My dad had just bought and finished going through one of those exact tractors, turf tires and all, that he gad gotten to mow areas too rough for the lawn mower but too small for the big tractors, but he passed away before he ever used it much at all. It's a little bit of a pain in the butt for me to get my long legs folded on and off of it, but I'd like to get it in service to help keep up with the place.

The bush-hog he had for it is way too heavy for it; I need to get some weight on the front of it. How much weight do you reckon is on the front of yours?
I would think the PTO hp would be as much or more important than the weight.
Condolences on your Dad. May he RIP.

Thank you, I appreciate that.

The tractor has enough power for the small mower, especially since I'm not mowing anything heavy, but if I lift the mower at all with the three-point I lose most of the steering control because the front wheels have no weight on them. This tractor has no additional weight on the front, so I was curious how much weight @furb had on the front end of his.

Some folks laugh at those little hoes .Let me just say this they are a lot better option than a pick and shovel . In my situation I have access to a bucket truck, two skid loaders,a small track hoe .I in return have a small dozer and if things go well soon a John Deere model 410 back hoe .All it takes is phone call .BTW in case any body wonders I know how to work on heavy equipment and if the rarity I get stumped know who to call to help me out . That's just the way we do it the bread basket of the world, the eastern corn belt .

I went out today and dropped some trees with a friend of mine. He is going to bandsaw mill them into beams for a shooting range structure. We saw a ton of calf elk, fawns, and a very angry red tail hawk.

Mowed about 3/5th of the back yard.

Retired my old BBQ pit as I do not see me using it anymore.

Also began retiring this old firewood rack, it interferes with yard maintenance.
Another bigger one is in the works.

R.I.P bbq pit :(
I bought a bigger one, out of stones, with a roof!
It came with a tiny house, shed, big garage and huge two part shop.

Sorry, no pics in my phone gallery showing it full scale without people in it...

Slept in, got kicked out of bed at 8AM by the sound of two chainsaws ripping through my uncle's firewood logs.
The bucking cuts sounded fast and saws rewed high.

Made my morning coffee, cuddled up in the living room with the pup.
Her snoring sounds healthier than those two saws by now.
They dulled their chains, one saw is just screaming through neverending bucking cuts, the other keeps getting stalled out repeatedly during every cut.

Oak logs.

Edit/Update:
They are two hours in now, the bucking to sharpening times are inverted.
Saws are silent longer than they can be heard.
Typical for my area, one saw plan (per operator) with no spare sharp chains.

Vital organ transplant, thankfully had a compatible organ donor in the basement freezer.
Red one gave up the other day, green one I bought as a parts donor years ago - identical PH's.

Green PH would start up and idle perfectly, but die instantly pressing the throttle.
PacMan carb adjustment tool and the green PH took & held WOT - just to actively leak fuel out of the carb once shut off.
One issue at a time...

Salvaged the carb off the blue Hyundai that my neighbor straight gassed.
Carby got a bigger hole, but is a direct bolt on, air filter system is also more elaborate than what my red PH has.
Green & Red are 43cc, Blue is 52cc.
Bolted the 52cc carb to my green PH just to find a pump bulb crack - off with the carb & swapped the carb bulb from my green PH over.
Bolted the 52cc carb to the 43cc green PH, gave it a couple pumps and it fired right up, idled fine and took WOT.

Somehow I ended up drilling & grinding a hole in the green PH's muffler baffle.
It didn't get notably louder.
IMG_20260606_183631.jpg

I do not have a muffler shield for the green PH and the red one's is not a direct swap.
The greens fuel tank is also poorly supported/protected , the red PH's one will bolt over though.

The Blue's 52cc carb does not leak fuel!

Sorry for the late reply but not enough. It has a big battery hanging on it but I need to make something for weight. It’ll wheelie with a scraper blade on it if you let the clutch out too fast.

What kind of car needs a scanner that's 1k used?
I bought a “good” Launch that if I wasn’t against littering it would’ve went out the window, bought an innova that was supposed to do a bunch of stuff but it doesn’t do what I need it to. You can do relearns and bi directional stuff with the better Autels but it’s hard to know what they’ll do until you get it. I know what the snap on can and can’t do for the most part. I keep buying cheaper stuff to get by but it doesn’t get me by. The innova is great for using while driving compared to the big tablet scanners but its limited on what it does.

I remembered I had another PH somewhere, also fried and already stripped for parts.
But it has a muffler shield that fits good enough just so I do not get 1st degree burns.
