Been working the last few days limbing and bucking to 6m lengths some fairly large Eucalyptus. The trees were too close to a neighboring house, and in return for cleaning them up I get the wood. Enough here to last me several winters, unless I sell some :). The little D2 has been punching well above its weight pulling the lengths in under some very large old Oaks for future bucking and splitting. The XS500i and XS346xp are also a blast to use thanks Kevin @huskihl

Put some sheet iron back on the roof of the barn that a storm had blown off and took the outdoor Christmas decorations down. I did cut up a nectarine tree that died and blew over in the yard.

Progress on the house during my week off.
Current project is to get the under cabinet lights working again which I have LED replacement bulbs for. Next step is to start upstairs.

Last night after work I cleaned up my work area and brought in my Saturday night project for buddy Mike and I, Mike's Troy Bilt 27 ton log splitter with Honda GCV 160. It's getting a new control valve and it has a running issue.

I bought this house almost 2 years ago and my wife said she didn't mind if I turned the carport into a shop, I'm finally getting around to it. Yesterday afternoon and this morning I got the opening framed, sheathing up and the entry door hung, the other three walls are already closed and the inside finished. Once I get the garage door on I'll have a nice 20' x 20' shop.

Hopefully your going on a fun trip or something.
There were several “trips” involved, but it was just a scheduled surgery and a spur of the moment second surgery to keep me from bleeding out. But, I survived, I made it home today, and I should be back in the swing of things in the next week or two.

Thanks, I'm working on it. Being faced with 5 days of immobility and another 2+ weeks of highly restricted movement/activity is torture but the benefits are well worth the discomfort I'm going through.
Better a couple weeks of discomfort than the worse alternative. Hang in there, get better, catch up some reading. I was going to say ride out the winter, but you are in CA, so not much of that. Unless you are up North. Anyway, get well.
