GDA, I am new to porting and have done two saws to date. I have torn down my 020t and decided I might as well port it while I have it blown apart. My numbers are as follows:
Exhaust 102*
Transfers 128*
intake 77*
squish .019”
Being new at this I’m not sure of a game plan. I was going to go 100 on the exhaust, 79* on the intake, then widen the exhaust and intake as much as possible leaving adequate room between the skirt and port. I’m using a dremel right now and think if I have to I can get to the transfer but was trying not to. Does this plan sound good? Blowdown goes from 26 to 28. Is that acceptable? I apologize for all the questions as I still trying to learn.

Drop the jug 0.030”. Set squish at 0.020”. Keep the intake pretty high and don’t widen it. Leave the exhaust lowish (104-103) and widen.
Set transfers flat at 22 degrees blowdown.

Well now it just depends on what you want to do with it .As I recall the OEM piston/deck clearance was already around 35-36 thou .However 20-22 thou should be about right .I didn't know what to do with the transfers so I didn't do anything .I set the exhaust at around 96 .It runs over 15,000 and it will run a 7 tooth sprocket with rapid super pico .Oh forgot I cut a dome in the piston plus I did some work on the muffler to help the flow and cut the exhaust a little wider in addition to higher .The average 020/200 will make two cuts in 9 inch poplar cant in around 15 seconds .This one does it a tad over 11 seconds .At one time we raced these things in the bumble bee class .
