I made these NSK dental contra angle head adapters. I have 7 to sell, depending on how popular they are I may make more. They use a 3/32" shaft latch burr so I'm selling them as a kit with a modified SE-53 carbide burr and a ~100 grit football shaped diamond for finishing. I've tried many different burrs and this is what I've found works the best. I even had these carbide burrs custom made.

The heads are light duty compared to others, but if you stick with smaller diameter tools like I'm providing I've ported up to 5 quad port saws with one head before you strip the gears or the drive flat. The good news are the heads are really inexpensive, $14-18 shipped to your door depending on how many you buy and I'm providing 2 in the kit so you have a backup when you break the first one.

These handpieces are great for small saws (50cc and smaller) as they are 1/2 the size of other RA's. The contra angle instead of the 90 give you a lot of control for detailed porting and allows for a better view of what you are grinding.

So the kit will include the adapter, two heads and the two modified burrs.

Here is the size compared to the 182MC.

These work awesome! I was fortunate enough to get one to try out before release.......highly recommend. If your just getting into porting or thinking about it....this is a great start.

6 spoken for, 1 left from this batch. Here is a video about how to replace the head when that time comes.

I’m trying to get more burrs made and when I’m caught up on other things I’ll make another run of the adapters. Not everyone who purchased one have had the time to use it but those who have had good things to say.

Anyone who purchased one can feel free to leave feedback or anything for discussion on this thread.

Hi Shaun

Received mine, it had arrived a wee while ago but I was away at work. Looks awesome. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet but I’m looking forward to it.

Thanks
Mark

I'm in process of getting more of the carbide burrs I originally provided. It will probably be a month before I have them ready.

i had the chance to use this on a 44mm cylinder and it really does help being able to get in to the inside of the corners much better than the 182. very slick tool

Thanks for the feedback. They are great for getting into the corners, the contra angle lends its hand there compared to the straight 90deg.

I often use these handpieces to finish corners or around the short side of the uppers after roughing in with the 182 on larger cylinders.

If anyone is interested I have modified carbide and diamond burrs back in stock.

Also since feedback, although limited, has been positive so I’m working on making another run of the handpieces. Not sure when they’ll be done.
