Does anyone know where I can find a skidding/logging mini grapple ( see photo) for personal use? I tend a 50 acre wood lot with difficult terrain and need this device to winchIMG_2280.JPG in logs while avoiding hang ups... so far my research has provided me with no source for this logging tool... any suggestions welcomed, thanks

Hell....I didn't get past the picture.
I was trying to reference what he was looking for.
I use a chain. Then a chain on a bar hooked to a motor.
Ring-a-ding.......

I would like to try to build a set like that. I’ve built myself tongs before. Pretty sure these would be fun to try.

Just remember you have to carry the damn thing back to the next log. A simple set of grab hooks are surprisingly useful (and hard to find). We just got one of those skidding cones and it paid for itself in about 30 minutes. A true pincher like that has the added benefit of grabbing slash piles.

there are several 3 and 4 arm units available just punch log tongs or similar into box and do a search.
