Some hair triggered logger claims he threw this saw to cause this damage but to me it looks like he used it to pound wedges by wielding it by the bar. Either way Mike @Glock37 sent it my way in hopes I could work some magic.

He basically broke the bar stud out of the case half on a freshly powdered and rebuilt 066. Absolutely ridiculous!

This is how deep I had to ditch cut to get the cracks out... this is going to take a fair amount of filler.

I cut the welds flat on the mill with a large shell mill. Then drilled and tapped the bar stud hole from the backside to match with what was left of the existing threads. Cleaned up the rest of the welds by hand and drilled the bar plate hole using one as a template. When I tried to nip the first thread on the new stud hole the drill bit got a little greedy and took about 3 threads, it will be fine as they have a lot of thread on them.
