I picked up a silvey grinder from a yard sale. The guy used to repair chainsaws back in the 70's and 80's. I have never seen anything like this. I'm hoping it's a square grinder because I would like to grind square chain. I have searched for hours on the web and can't find anything about this thing. Any info would be appreciated thanks

Moved this thread to the chain page for you. It’ll get more views there by the chain and grinder guys. I’m sure someone will be around soon to help you clarify what you have.
To me it does not look like a square grinder. Your wheel would have to sit at a different angle to your chain holder for that.

I’ll tag @Philbert as well. He’s a walking encyclopedia of chains and grinders.
